Set up a Sports Club
Anyone can start up a sports club. You don’t have to be a budding athlete or a canny coach. All it takes to found a club is a bunch of would-be members to come together and establish the rules and operating procedures of the club in a constitution.
Most sports in Scotland have a national governing body that may be able offer additional advice or support and you may also be able to register your club with the body. See the governing bodies on the Sport Scotland website for more details.
It will also be worthwhile talking to other local clubs in the area as well as contacting your local authority for further advice and guidance on setting up your club.
